Hot Springs
A recurring client purchased a historic George Washington smith 1928 Spanish colonial revival home nestled in the luscious Montecito Hills. Tones were pulled from the property and surrounding area to create a rich and inviting palette. The Dining Room acts more of a lounge and includes two seating areas, a hidden record player closet and access to the adjacent Sapele paneled Bar with Calacatta Turquoise Marble and pre aged copper wrapped millwork. A deep blue cashmere 31’ area rug grounds the formal Living Room. Majority of the furniture is antique and refurbished existing pieces.
Calcutta Viola envelopes every surface of the Primary Bathroom. The freestanding tub is also built from slab. The hand carved walnut vanities were inspired by an antique 1970’s case piece.
Pinky’s
Pinky’s Iron Doors is a wonderful trusted vendor who creates fully custom windows + doors in high quality materials. The owners asked the firm to collaborate on designing the new showroom to display the variation of customization available. Muted rich tones + natural materials ground the space while offsetting the industrial materiality of their products. Globes hang from all rooms to merge to spaces. The owners private collection of antique cars + motorcycles are also showcased in the main entry.
